Reggie Hudson, a member of the Goddard Astrobiology Center at NASA’s Goddard Space Flight Center (GSFC) in Greenbelt, Maryland, has been awarded the 2023 Laboratory Astrophysics Prize by the American Astronomical Society (AAS). The award is presented by the AAS Laboratory Astrophysics Division (LAD) and was given to Hudson in “recognition of his contributions to the understanding of the chemistry of ices in the interstellar medium and in the solar system.”

The Laboratory Astrophysics Prize is LAD’s highest honor and includes an invited lecture at an upcoming meeting of the Laboratory Astrophysics Division.
