Author and astrobiology enthusiast Marc Kaufman tells NPR’s Fresh Air that we may be closer than ever to finding out if there is life on other planets in our universe. He discusses many of the significant astrobiology discoveries of late, as well as his new book “First Contact: Scientific Breakthroughs in the Hunt for Life Beyond Earth.” An event and book signing at the National Air and Space Museum in Washington, DC will take place on May 1st from 1-3pm.
