Eric Boyd of Montana State University will be featuring on National Geographic’s television event, Yellowstone Live, premiering Sunday, Aug. 5 at 9 p.m. ET/6 p.m. PT. Boyd will be discussing NASA’s study of hot spring ecosystems and their relevance as potential analogs to environments on the early Earth and beyond.

Boyd has been a longtime member of the astrobiology community at NASA, and is currently the deputy director of the NAI’s “Rock-Powered Life” team led by the University of Colorado. Boyd also recently participated in the online series Ask An Astrobiologist, which invites the public to interact high-profile astrobiologists and is supported in part by the NASA Astrobiology program:
