About
I am interested in the origin and signatures of chirality. We study the effect of magnetic fields (on mineral surfaces) and H217O on the enantioselective reactivity of organic monomers (sugars and amino acids), and the consequence of this phenomenon on explaining the origin of prebiotic chirality and on how we search for and explain chiral disruption in extraterrestrial samples. As experimental means we use Time Domain NMR spectroscopy and chromatographic separation of enantiomers. My collaborators are Romulus I. Scorei and Vily M. Cimpoiasu from University of Craiova (Romania).
