The Effect of Reducing Gravity on Caenorhabditis Elegans
0 Field Sites
We successfully completed genomic microarray analyses of hypergravity exposure in C. elegans. Posters were presented and a manuscript is in preparation. We initiated behavioral analyses and growth curves in preparation for a proposed spaceflight.

RELATED OBJECTIVES:Objective 4.0
Expand and interpret the genomic database of a select group of key microorganisms in order to reveal the history and dynamics of evolution.
Identify the environmental limits for life by examining biological adaptations to extremes in environmental conditions.
Understand the natural processes by which life can migrate from one world to another. Are we alone in the Universe?
Understand the human-directed processes by which life can migrate from one world to another.
