Steven Jaret is a Ph.D student in the department of Geosciences at Stony Brook University. His research focuses on what happens to rock on the Earth when large asteroids collide with the Earth. Specifically he works on how we can tell when large impacts have happened in the past. Steven cares a lot about bringing science beyond the lab, and is heavily involved with the Alan Alda Center for Communicating Science at Stony Brook.
