Ilissa Ocko, Ph.D. is a Climate Scientist at the Environmental Defense Fund in New York City, where she researches the impacts of short-lived climate pollutants on climate change and works with attorneys and economists to find practical solutions to mitigate future warming. Ilissa is deeply committed to distilling complex science concepts for non-experts, especially through the development of science infographics. Ilissa earned a Ph.D. in Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences from Princeton University, and a B.S.E. in Earth System Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan.
