EPO Activity: Science on a Sphere

Project Progress

Two shows are being developed for use on the Science on a Sphere technology. Show 1, The Pale Blue Dot, highlights one theme of VPL’s research – how scientists can detemine habitability of an exoplanet from a single pixel of light from a planet. Themes discussed include why we only have a single pixel and, when using Earth as an analog, we would we changes accociated with rotation and continent (seeing mostly water vs mostly land), and seasons (seeing liquid water vs ice, or vegetation changes). During Year 3, the show script was finalized, and the show entered regular rotatio of shows being presented by PSC staff.
