Project Progress

Co-I Andrew Knoll has been working with Tangled Bank Studios, the film company of the Howard Hughes Medical Institute, to develop a four hour series on evolution and earth history for PBS. He also worked with the HHMI education team to develop a series of apps and a poster entitled Earth Evolution—The Intersection of Geology and Biology.

Co-I Dawn Sumner gave numerous interviews on her research on the MSL mission, including to the Australian Broadcasting Corporation (5/29/2013), Capitol Public Radio Insight (2/7/2013 and 6/3/2013), CBS 13 Television, Sacramento (5/30/2013), Davis Access Media, In the Studio (1/24/13), Science News (8/20/2013), and Voice of America’s Science World (5/30/2013). Sumner was also interviewed for an upcoming National Geographic and PBS documentary on maps and mapping.
