Project Progress

Co-I Norsted collaborated with Heather Nelson (Penn State EPO Lead) and Jorge Bueno (Director of the Instituto de Astrobiología Colombia) to co-chair an E/PO session (oral and poster) at the 2012 AbSciCon. Our session, “Space, Slime, and the Search for Life: Astrobiology Education and Public Outreach” highlighted astrobiology efforts ranging from nationwide programming efforts to individual programs led by enthusiastic school teachers. We received tremendous response from the outreach community, with 35 abstracts submitted to our session.
