EPO Activity: Spanish Language EPO

Project Progress

Prof. Antigona Segura of the Universidad Autonoma de Mexico gave or lead numerous public and educational talks on astrobiology and the search for life on extrasolar planets in several locations in Mexico, Colombia and Argentina.

She gave 8 talks to high school students, high school professors, members of the public and college students. She also gave 4 radio interviews in Spanish for a radio station in Buenos Aires, Argentina. The links to these archived broadcasts can be found below.

UW graduate student Marcela-Ewert Sarmiento gave a Spanish language presentation at the Pacific Science Center in Seattle, and an astrobiology lecture in Spanish in her home country of Colombia.
