Sheri Klug Boonstra is a life-long educator who has had an interest in planetary geology and the cosmos from the age of 5 when she could be found cracking rocks with a hammer on the driveway.

She is the Director of the ASU Mars Education Program, and the Formal Education Lead for the Mars Public Engagement Team at NASA’s Jet Propulsion Laboratory. She and her team have created numerous resources for educators, including two board games where players compete to send missions to Mars, Europa, and Titan. They’ve also created the award- winning Mars Student Imaging Project wherein students request a custom image from a camera orbiting Mars and then perform a research project with it!
