Shawn Domagal-Goldman

Shawn Domagal-Goldman is a Space Scientist at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center in Greenbelt, MD. He is a member of the Planetary Environments Laboratory, which explores the planets in our solar system with spaceflight hardware. He’s also a member of the Virtual Planetary Laboratory, which simulates the environments of worlds beyond our Solar System.

Shawn's research focuses on the interactions of life with a planet, and the resulting signatures we can use to trace life’s origin, evolution, and presence on a planet. Shawn is also extremely passionate about science communication, and leads the Pale Blue Blog, an online discussion about astrobiology science that promotes science communication in the astrobiology community.
