Rabiah Mayas

Dr. Rabiah Mayas is the Director of Science and Integrated Strategies in the Center for the Advancement of Science Education at the Museum of Science and Industry, Chicago. She oversees program evaluation and science learning research, directs the museum’s public science events for youth and families, connects youth with STEM professionals and careers, and helps Museum guests explore connections among science, technology, art, and design.

She also directs the Museum’s state-of-the-art Fab Lab, a digital fabrication laboratory for youth-driven design- and engineering-based innovation.

Rabiah earned a Ph.D. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology at The University of Chicago, a B.S. in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology from the University of Maryland Baltimore where she was also a Meyerhoff Scholar.
