Nikki Lowry

Nikki Lowry has more than 25 years of professional experience, largely in the fields of education and in entertainment marketing. Nikki’s experience in entertainment marketing includes such wide-ranging positions as Managing Director for a live Equity theatre in Park City, UT; Director of Special Events for the Park City, UT, Chamber of Commerce; and Film Commissioner for the Chamber in Park City as well. She was also the Director of Marketing for both the Sundance Institute/Sundance Film Festival and Director of Marketing and PR for the Miami International Film Festival.

Nikki’s education experience runs the gamut from teaching college-level English language and literature, English as a second language in both Thailand and Lebanon, and serving as an elected member of the Park City, UT School board for eight years, including two years as president. Lowry also worked as Associate Executive Director for Marketing Services for the National Association of Elementary School Principals and as the Senior Marketing Manager for National Geographic Explorer classroom magazine. She has a solid knowledge of and experience meeting the needs of K-12 educators and has a personal passion for public education. She has notably started a number of programs to help K-12 students including the NG Explorer Donor Program; the Masterpiece in Arts program in the Park City, UT elementary schools; and the YOUTHEATRE program at the Egyptian Theater in Park City.

Nikki currently works as Vice President, Integrated Film Marketing for National Geographic Studios, a job that enables her to draw on all her past experience to promote NG’s documentary films and facilitate education outreach in museums and science centers worldwide for these films.

Nikki holds a B.A. in English and Art History from Ohio University.
