Jennifer Shoemaker

National Geographic Society

Jen Shoemaker is the Director of Missions Media at the National Geographic Society. She holds an MFA from Montana State University in Science and Natural History Filmmaking.

Jen was a media producer at NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center, and prior to that was a ranger-naturalist for twelve years in National Parks including Yellowstone, Yosemite, and Death Valley.

As a filmmaker, she has worked in tea fields in Kenya, out of helicopters over Ireland, from deep sea submersibles, and atop the tallest mountain on Earth.
