Interested postdocs and graduate students should apply no later than 5 p.m. PT December 12, 2019.

NASA’s Exoplanet Exploration Program (ExEP) invites all postdocs and graduate students interested in the starshade technology and its applications in exoplanet science and exploration to attend the second Starshade Science and Industry Partnership (SIP) Forum on February 6-7, 2020 in Boulder, CO. Postdocs and graduate students are invited to present their research in any science, technology, and engineering areas related to starshade science and technology. Up to four postdocs and graduate students will be selected to attend and present at the Starshade SIP Forum. Travel expenses will be reimbursed for these students. We are particularly interested in attendance and presentations by postdocs and graduate students from diverse backgrounds.

Postdocs and graduate students who are depending on travel support should wait until they have been notified of their selection prior to making travel arrangements or paying registration fees. Failure to comply with this requirement may prohibit reimbursement. Selected postdocs and graduate students will be notified and requested to go through the JPL Exoplanet Exploration Program for ALL travel reservations. Once selected, the Exoplanet Travel Bureau will contact you to arrange your travel.

Eligibility:

  • Postdocs and graduate students must be affiliated with a U.S. institution;
  • Graduate students must be enrolled at a university at the time of the forum or the semester immediately before the forum (if during break);
  • Applicants must submit an abstract for presentation at the forum.
