The University of Western Ontario (Western) has just announced an open call for Canada Research Chair positions: https://www.uwo.ca/facultyrelations/careers/pdf/crc-special-call-adverstisement.pdf. This is the first such time such an open call is happening at the University of Western Ontario. Typically, a Chair in “X” (e.g., planetary geoscience) is targeted, similar to how most other calls for faculty work.

Planetary Science & Exploration is one of the 10 signature research areas for Western.
