Appendix 11: MUREP Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (MUREP INCLUDES)
NOTICE OF FUNDING OPPORTUNITY (NOFO) RELEASED April 5, 2024
This National Aeronautics and Space Administration (NASA) Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) entitled Engagement Opportunities in NASA STEM (EONS) – 2024, solicits proposals for competitive funding opportunities in support of the programs administered by NASA’s Office of STEM Engagement (OSTEM). EONS-2024 is an omnibus announcement that includes a wide range of NASA STEM Engagement opportunities for basic and applied science and technology research and education. Specific opportunities will be issued periodically throughout the year as Appendices to this solicitation with individual requirements and milestones.

The NASAOSTEMMUREP Program solicits proposals from 4-year and two-year colleges/universities designated by the U.S. Department of Education as MSIs (see NASAMSI List) for the MUREP Inclusion across the Nation of Communities of Learners of Underrepresented Discoverers in Engineering and Science (MUREPINCLUDES) awards. Through novel and unique engineering-centric experiential experiences, MUREPINCLUDES seeks to significantly contribute to the broadening of underrepresented/underserved and underrepresented minorities (URM) students entering into and successfully matriculating through engineering disciplines and fields. MUREPINCLUDES requires MSI’s academic and research strengths to assemble and lead a coalition of partners to mitigate existing barriers that URMs and underrepresented/underserved students encounter when considering and pursuing engineering degrees.
Note: This NOFO is open only to U.S. 4-year colleges/universities and two-year colleges, designated by the U.S. Department of Education as Minority Serving Institutions (AANH, AANAPISI, HBCU, HSI, NASNTI, PBI, TCU). Institutions not meeting this requirement are encouraged to collaborate with a lead MSI.
Successful MUREPINCLUDES proposals will be funded as multi-year cooperative agreements with a three-year period of performance. Please see the full Appendix 11: MUREP INCLUDES for more details.

· Final “Office Hour”: May 30, 2024, at 3:00 pm Eastern Time
Letters of intent are strongly encouraged and are due May 6, 2024,12:59 pm. Eastern Time
During these sessions, the MUREPINCLUDES team will give an in-depth overview of the opportunity and highlight information contained in the EONS-2024 document regarding proposal preparation and requirements. The Engineering Roundtable will be an opportunity to learn about training and development, and engineering roles at NASA.
