Why can Earth support life?
We have life on Earth because (1) the Earth has the right conditions (such as carbon and a temperature that allows liquid water) and (2) life was able to form initially on Earth and adapt to the many environments on our planet. If you look through answers to other questions on this website, you will find several of them that address the prerequisites for life and the habitability of the Earth.
