Question
What would be a good and accessible book or books for someone who was interested in astrobiology?
There are a lot of recent popular-level books (trade books) on astrobiology. A good (but not complete) listing is on this website: Look under "College Courses: Texts: Related Astrobiology Books". Most of these are trade books, and all of them will provide a good picture of one or more parts of astrobiology. Among my personal favorites are the books by Achenbach, Darling, Davies, Dick, DeDuve, Jakosky, and Powell -- but you can take your choice.
