Question
In your field of study, what is the impact on research of creationnism dogmas that seems to be creeping up everywhere?
The only impact of creationism that I see is to annoy scientists who study biology, astrobiology, and evolutionary theory. Creationism (and intelligent design) are not scientific ideas, they are not based on scientific evidence, and they do not help scientists to understand the natural processes that we study. I am also interested that you find creationism ideas “creeping up everywhere”. In the U.S., several court cases have affirmed that neither creationism nor intelligent design are scientific and therefore they cannot be taught in science classes in public schools. World-wide, two groups where creationism still has a wide following are among some fundamentalist Christians in the United States and Australia and among some fundamentalist Muslims in Turkey and the Arab world.
