Question
Is there proof of other lifeforms in space, and will humans be able to inhabit planets known or unknown?
These are challenging questions. There is today no proof of other lifeforms either in space or on any other planets, but our capability to collect such evidence is still poorly developed; thus "absence of evidence is not evidence of absence." The ability of humans or other lifeforms from Earth to adapt to other environments is one of the unknowns that is being investigated by astrobiologists today. We will need to know much more about this before we send humans to Mars, for example.
