Question
What is the most rewarding aspect of being an astrobiologist and would you recommend it to a student wishing to enter that field of study?
The most rewarding for me is the opportunity to do research on very basic, fundamental questions such as the origin of life and the existence of life on other worlds. These questions attract exceptionally smart and creative scientists, and it is a pleasure every day to be associated with such interesting people. I also enjoy the opportunity to talk about astrobiology with the public, including answering this question. So yes, I certainly recommend this to a student. David Morrison
