Is it true that scientists at NASA are looking for life on the moons of Jupiter?
No, but astrobiologists (some of whom work for NASA) are studying the habitability of the large icy moons of Jupiter, especially Europa. This is the first step in exploring for life: to assess whether the environmental conditions might be conducive to life. In the future we hope to carry out missions to search for direct evidence of life, but that quest is beyond our current technical ability (and the current NASA budgets for science). David Morrison
