Question
If the Earth gets overpopulated and very polluted and we would have to go to another planet, where do you think we would go?
I am afraid that we are stuck with planet Earth -- so we ought to treat it right. While I hope that humans will someday develop outposts on other planets, perhaps the Moon and Mars, it will never make sense to move large numbers of people off our planet. The energy requirements to climb out of Earth's gravity are too great. If there is ever a large human presence of Mars, it will develop from babies born on Mars, not from people transported there from Earth. David Morrison
