  1. Question

What does NASA think about the shape of an alien animal?

Astrobiologists would love to find evidence of alien life, but we have not yet done so. We ask whether it will be similar or different from Earth life in its fundamental biochemistry. However, it is likely to be be different in form even if there are biochemical similarities, and thus we would not expect that an alien would be classifiable as an "animal" at all.
