  1. Question

Did the Sun and solar system form in the first half or the last half of our galaxy's history?

The age of the solar system is 4.56 billion years, as determined from the oldest (most primitive) meteorites. The oldest stars in the Galaxy are thought to be about 11 billion years old. You can make the comparison.
